Chart Review: Week 103

This weeks Artist Chart sees Janet Jackson top the charts for a second week with Monica staying stable at #2, Whitney Houston rises to #3 with Brandy at #4 and Nicki Minaj skyrocketing back into the top 5 at #5.

 On The Albums Chart, "Rhythm Nation 1814" tops the chart ending Monica's 8 week streak at #1 where she broke the record for longest running #1 album and Longest Running #1 Debut as well as becoming the 2nd fastest album to achieve Diamond Certification. "Never Say Never" has reached a new peak of #3 due to  its now 3 singles achieving top 5 status. "janet." falls to #4 carried by "again" and "if" after the other singles from the album saw a decrease in sales this week.  At #5 Whitney Houston's self titled debut album extends its record as longest running top 5 album after it returns to the top 5 this week.

On The singles chart, Janet Jackson replaces herself at #1 for the 1st time with "Come Back To Me"  rising 2 spots to #1 and "Love Will Never Do (Without You)" falling 1 place to #2. Monica's major hit "Angel of Mine" has risen to #3 after falling to #5 last week. This marks the longest running stay in the top 5 for a top 5 debut. "Almost Doesn't Count" off of Brandy's album "Never Say Never" reaches a new peak of #4 with "Angel in Disguise" falling to #5.

This week on the artists' chart, Ariana Grande returns to #1, extending her artist record with more weeks at the top (6x).

After going viral, telepatía has a jump of 37 positions to #1. Kali Uchis joins Ariana Grande, Sabrina Carpenter, Dua Lipa and Madison Beer as the only female artists to reach the top of the chart. 'main thing' of Ariana Grande becomes the non-single song to spend more time in the Top 10 of the chart.

On the albums, Poster Girl continues another week at #1, joining Positions, as the only albums to spend more than a week at the top of the chart.
