This week (#657), ahead of her premiering her fourth studio album, "The Age of Pleasure", Janelle topped the Album charts with her seminal debut "The Archandroid". The album is already the best-selling album in the country's history (and Janelle, the best-selling artist) with a certification on 10.1 million records sold (DIAMOND). However, this is the first time the album peaked at #1. This will mark Janelle's third #1 album.
"Pleasure" is predicted to debut at #1 with around 600,000 SPS next week (#658). Janelle's third album, "Dirty Computer", was a mega success, debuting at #1 moving over 800,000 units in the week. Her singles for "Pleasure" have not charted as high as the "DC" era. However, the general excitement surrounding the country's biggest music superstar means there could be records broken during the "Pleasure" Era.
In addition to topping the charts this week with The ArchAndroid, Janelle's second release (The Electric Lady) and Dirty Computer reached number two and number six on the album charts. She also had a whopping 19 entries in the top 30 songs of the week!
