Top 30 Albums: Week 649

Question

This week the enigmatic rocker, Yves Tumor, moves 355,000 units to top the album charts with his magnificent "Praise A Lord Who Chews But Which Does Not Consume; (Or Simply, Hot Between Worlds)". The album debuted four weeks ago and has stayed in the top 3 ever since. The album has sold 2.13 million units (2x Platinum Plaque), making it the second-best-selling album of 2023.

"Raven" by Kelela (the best-selling album of the year) and "Ocean Blvd" by LDR remain in the top 5, selling 240,000 and 225,000, respectively. Caroline Rose moves her fourth album, "The Art of Forgetting," to the top 5, earning her a Gold Plaque! Ellie Goulding and M83, round out the top 10 with the debuts of "Higher Than Heaven (Deluxe)" at 140,000 albums sold and "Fantasy" at 110,000 sold (respectively).

"Portals" by Melanie Martinez and "In Pieces" by Chloe fall out of the top ten, landing at #12 and #13, respectively. Hopefully, gold certifications will be for these ladies soon. "GLOW" by Wesley Joseph spends its fourth week on the chart picking up 75,000 unit sales and earning a Platinum Plaque for the multi-hyphenate performer.
