1. Taylor Swift 

In this year, Taylor Swift was the most successful Artist on charts. She had few hits this year including, 'Delicate', 'Look What You Made Me Do', 'Don't Blame Me', 'Getaway Car' 'and 'I Did Something Bad'. She had 3 different Number #1 songs, and spent a total of 8 Weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100.

Her most successful hit this year was 'Delicate' it spent 5 Weeks at No. #1, it sold 7.4 MILLION Copies and spent 34 Weeks on charts and it's still charting. The song won the 'The Song Of The Year' and it's the best selling single ever.

Her album 'reputation' was also the best selling album ever, with almost 8 MILLION Copies sold, it spent 36 Weeks on charts and it's still charting it stayed at Number #1 on Billboard 200 for 15 Weeks, which makes it the album with most weeks at Number 1.

In this year she sold more than 8.1M in Pure Copies only and 6.6M Copies from streaming and total of 14.7M Units this year only. That's despite she released her album in 2017. (This data is based on other formula, if you would combine singles total sales and albums it will be much higher).

2. Nicki Minaj

In this year Nicki Minaj was the 2nd best Selling Artist, Her album 'Queen' is holding the biggest debut in history with over 700k Units in a week it also spent 9 Weeks at Number 1 and it sold 5.3M Units. She is the artist with most weeks at No.1 on Billboard Hot 100, 11 Weeks atop the chart as a lead artist, and 15 Weeks with features. Her most successful single this year was 'FEFE' that sold 4.8M Copies this year and spent 6 Weeks atop Billboard Hot 100, the 2nd highest weeks at #1 ever. 

In this year she sold AS A LEAD ARTIST (don't add features sells) more than 7.1M in Pure Copies only and 6.3M Copies from streaming and total of 13.4M Units this year only. That's despite she released her album in 2017. (This data is based on other formula, if you would combine singles total sales and albums it will be much higher).

3. Ariana Grande

This year, hasn't started as the best year that Ari could wish for, but in the end when 'thank u, next' was released, everything got charged. 'thank u, next' had the biggest selling week ever in history selling 440k copies in a week, almost twice than the 3rd best selling week, It spent 7 weeks atop the charts, which makes it the longest charting song at No.1 on Billboard Hot 100 (And it will continue to stay at 1#). It was the fastest song to be eligible for Gold, Platinum and 2x Platinum and soon 3x Platinum. With just 2 Months the song has sold 2.8M Copies and it's the 3rd best selling single in Pure Sales ever.

'Sweetener' was also a success, but it hasn't started great as well, only few weeks after it debut it has reached Number #1 on Billboard it sold 4.9M Copies, but except for that the album did not break any massive record.
