it appears that the problem was not me manually refreshing the recently played too often, as it has done it again and i did not once touch that button

Hi. Do you mind trying another browser so we can be sure it's a Edge issue?

Also have you checked your configurations?

Method 1: Turn off "Clear browsing data on close"

1. Open Edge, click the three dots (...) in the top-right corner, and select Settings.

2. Click Privacy, search, and services on the left menu.

3. Scroll down and click Choose what to clear every time you close the browser.

4. Make sure the toggle for Browsing history is turned OFF
