(IDEA) Custom play values per play (for instance: 1 play = 1 million "streams")
Huge fan of the website and love the customization. Had an idea though as I find streaming more enjoyable of a metric than units or sales. Any way we can create custom play values per play (for instance: 1 play = 1 million "streams")? Essentially choosing how many play counts a single play has?
It would open up a lot of possibilities for streaming chart roleplays and the like.
Hi JFree, thanks! You can already get close to this: in your chart settings, under Certifications > Formula weights, set the Plays weight to how many "streams" one play should be worth, and the Points weight to 0. Your sales/certification numbers then work as streams.
Right now the weight goes up to 100,000, so "1 play = 1 million" isn't possible yet. Raising that limit (and certifications into the billions) is already planned, so this will be covered when it ships.

Would this also be available to normal plays such as on the "live chart" and the final published charts? Not certifications/sales but the last fm play converted to zero chart numbers

It's live now: the plays weight goes up to 10 million and certifications up to 100 billion, so 1 play = 1 million streams works (Plays weight 1,000,000 and Points weight 0). About your question: on the weekly chart page, open Visual Configuration (the gear icon) and turn on "Show formula value instead of plays" to see the converted numbers in the chart itself. The Live Chart still shows plain plays for now.
